Pangasinan State University, headed by Dr. Virgilio C. Barongan, Vice President for Research and Extension together with the officials of School of Advanced Studies has set its bar higher in reinforcing the research unit of the University by attending relevant training and seminars anchored on the development of the research sector in the region.
Last January 26, 2018, the Research and Development Unity of PSU has attended the operationalization of the Bioenergy Research for Sustainable Development program at Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), Batac, Ilocos Norte. The said event was participated by various State Universities in the Philippines.
Similarly, a seminar-workshop on Patent Research, Drafting and Copyright (IPO), sponsored by the unit of the Intellectual Property and Research Utilization, was also held on May 16-18 at the convention hall of the University.
A joint RDE Weeks was also celebrated last November 20-23, 2018 at PSU Lingayen Campus with the theme, “Role of Research, Extension, Gender and Development towards a Global PSU.” The event featured varied activities such as Gender and Development Day, IEC Material Development Training, Research Symposium and the Awards Fellowship Night.
