Technical Panel from the Commission on Higher Education, Central Office, Quezon City in the person of Dr. Danny Villena, Dr. Ruby Serrano and Dr. Ana Cristina Biglete together with officials from the Regional Office-I, Dr Danilo Bose and Dr Juan Primitivo Petrola were present in today’s virtual visit in relation to PSU-School of Advanced Studies Certificate of Program Compliance application.
The activity aims to assess the alignment and compliance of SAS programs, namely Master of Arts in Education and Doctor of Education to the policies, standards and guidelines of CHED including the CHED Memorandum Order No.53 series of 2007 or the Policies and Standards for Graduate Programs in Education for Teachers and Other Education Professionals and to ensure that the existing programs are quality assured.
An audio-visual presentation was developed as a situationer and to provide current updates on SAS operations. The Panel subjected some documents to careful perusal coupled with question and answer where the program advisers and faculty members took charge in responding to the Panel’s queries.
After the validation of presented documents, the Panel provided recommendations as to how SAS can improve along specific areas in its quest to be granted COPC by CHED.
As closing, Dr. Rosario DL Valencerina, SAS Executive Director mentioned that the activity is an opportunity to be seized to learn and improve in those areas that could earn the institution with better performance and service delivery. She thanked the SAS family for their cooperation and dedication to achieve greater heights amid the pandemic.
