𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 I On March 8, 2023, a meeting on journal collaboration with an international peer-reviewed Science journal was held, bringing together experts in the field to explore the potential of collaborating with esteemed international journals. The meeting was attended by representatives of Science majors and alumni majoring in Science, making it a highly informative and engaging session.

The meeting began with opening remarks and greetings by Dr. Jun S. Camara, the Coordinator for Research, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in advancing scientific research. Dr. Camara also presented the participants’ purpose, flow, and introduction, setting the stage for an informative and engaging session.

Dr. Joel T. Cayabyab, Deputy Director for Academics, Research and Extension, and Dr. Paulo V. Cenas, SAS Executive Director, gave messages of welcome, recognizing the importance of collaboration in scientific research. This was followed by initial messages from Dr. Emmanuel Ross B. Tomas, the Dean of Doctor of Education, Dr. Nelda J. Garcia, the Chair of Science Education (Master of Arts in Education) and Dr. Honelly Mae S.  Cascolan, the Chair of Science Education (Doctor of Education), highlighting the significance of international collaboration and the potential for joint research initiatives.

Asst. Prof. Dr. R. Ahmad Zaky El Islami and Assistant Prof. Indah Juwitah Sari, Ph.D., then presented journals and potential areas of collaboration, shedding light on the vast opportunities for international collaboration. They presented examples of successful partnerships, highlighting the benefits of cross-disciplinary collaboration in advancing scientific research.

The meeting then moved on to discuss future directions for collaboration, with Dr. Camara outlining the need for sustained efforts toward international cooperation. The importance of joint research initiatives, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and the need for greater cooperation between universities and international journals was emphasized.

The meeting concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Garcia, highlighting the importance of the forum and the significance of international collaboration in advancing scientific research.
