The current pandemic situation has created an unprecedented crisis with augean challenges for student leaders of the University.
It is indeed true that the struggles as a student leader have doubled carrying both the pressure of academics and passion for the student service. All the same, the desire to serve both campus and fellow student keeps burning inside a student leader’s heart.
On a positive note, the current situation is providing the students leaders the opportunity to exercise mature leadership. Moreover, this situation has highlighted the necessity for students to be in leadership rather than just learning about leadership skills.
With this, the Pangasinan State University Binmaley Campus Supreme Student Council conducted an oath-taking ceremony last May 27, 2021 at the PSU Binmaley covered court. SSC Officers headed by their president; Ms. Angelica Shane Soriano together with the Executive Vice President, Mr. Allan Andryll G. Ferrer; Vice President for Projects and Activities, Mr. Everson V. Pacal; Vice President for Student Rights and Welfare Mr. Mark V. Delos Reyes; Vice President for Communication, Ms. Telbian Patima D. Castillo; Treasurer, MS. Rosemelyn C. Camaso; Auditor, Ms. Jennifer V. Salvadorp; Press Relation Officer Mr. Jose Fernan G.Fransisco and Mr. Fernando R. Hiteroza; Business Managers, Ms. Wynsleth Bautista and Mr. Mel J. Mamaril Jr.; 4th Year Representatives, Ms. Rose Ann S. Bravo and Ms. Mercy Gadingan; 3rd Year Representative, Ms. Hazel Nicole De Vera and Mr. Albert John M. Siapno; 2nd Year Representative: Ms. Jeann Eliza Capili and Kate Marian V. Echavez; 1st Year Representative: Ms. Kaye M. Salacsacan and Ms. Arlet Mae M. Canilang (SSC Legislative Department) House Speaker, Ms. Jacqueline S. Diaz; Executive Secretary, Adrian C. Dela Cruz; Legislative Secretary, Ms. Shaina Fernandez; Deputy House Speaker, Mr. Ramwil T. Ramos; and Secretary for Communication, Katrina Jowel Palma attended the oath-taking physically. Also, the president of the different Clubs namely: AquaSounds, Adrian C. Dela Cruz; CCJESO, Chabelita Escaño; Education Students Organization, Allan Andryll G. Ferrer; Young Environmental Protectors, Judy Ann C. de Asis; KPW: Dennis A. Villanta; Kabunyan Cultural Organization, Rosalyn C. Descalsota; and Sports Club, Lamberto R. Ramos Jr. are present during the event. Other interest club officers who cannot come physically joined the oath-taking virtually. Health protocols were strictly observed during said ceremony.
This event was supported by the Campus Executive Director, also the officiator of the event, Dr. Roy C. Ferrer together with the Coordinator for Student Services and Alumni Affairs Dr. Lorena F. Aquino and assisted by the the adviser of Supreme Student Council Ms. Josephine Gonzalo together with the Co-Adviser Mr. Jan Michael A. Fernandez.
