PSU family acts in solidarity to give aid for the typhoon victims.

In line with the theme “ Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant Heroes”, the School of Advanced Studies, through its programs Master in Public Administration and MS Agriculture, SAS faculty and staff members gathered for an online celebration of the 121st Civil Service Anniversary on Friday, September 17, 2021.


The celebration kicked off through a Zumba wellness activity which aims to promote physical and mental agility of the participants when regularly done. It was followed by the program proper where Dr. Rosario DL Valencerina, SAS Executive Director underscored and re-awakened among the participants the essence of being a lingkod bayani or servant heroes as reflected in their work. Dr. Loren Echalar, HRMDO Director, led the group in the recitation of the Panunumpa ng Kawani ng Gobyerno where the participants re-affirmed their commitment of delivering excellent government service at all times.


The program ended with a light and fun activity where SAS faculty plantitos and plantitas flexed their collection of ornamental plants, a hobby that became popularized during the time of pandemic for its therapeutic effects on people amid the distress. Lastly, Dr. Ricardo R. Garcia, program chair for MS Agriculture shared some tips on how to become a prolific plantito and plantita.
